What is ACH?

The Automated Clearing House (ACH) Network is one of the largest, safest, and most reliable payment systems in the world. In fact, if your paycheck is directly deposited into your bank account, or you make recurring online bill payments, you’re already using ACH. The ACH Network is a batch processing system in which financial institutions accumulate ACH transactions throughout the day for later batch processing. Instead of using paper to carry necessary transaction information, such as with checks, ACH Network transactions are transmitted electronically, allowing for faster processing times and lower costs. It’s the next business day. Where’s my money?

If your loan agreement was signed after 11:00 am Central Time (or on a weekend or bank holiday), you should receive your money by 5:00 pm Central Time the following business day. In some cases, it may be even earlier in the day. However, the exact timing ultimately depends on your bank. Just know that in some cases, the bank may not credit the money to your account until the end of the day.

Can I get my money today?

If your loan agreement is signed by 11:00 am Central Time on a business day, you should receive your money the same day (and with many banks, by 5:00 pm the same day). However, the exact timing ultimately depends on your bank. Just know that in some cases, the bank may not credit the money to your account until later that evening. You can contact your bank to learn more about how they process ACH.
